Biography

Very little is known by the people of Domus Prime of the Queen’s early history. What is known is that she previously lived on Coruscant and studied at the Jedi Temple, eventually attaining her Knighthood from Master Yoda. During a crisis she moved to Domus Prime, saved the day, and was later elected Queen. Since then all of her activities have been public knowledge.

Early Years, 21-14 Years Ago

Little is known about the birth of Sailor Coruscant. Although many unwanted children are abandoned at the Jedi Temple each year, the child who would later become Queen of Domus Prime was found within the Jedi Council chambers, wrapped in a simple blanket bearing no identifying marks, and no record of who her parents were has ever been found. The child, who was approximately a month old and bore no signs of ill-treatment, was given the name Hikari-No Miko, which means the priestess of light, and tested for Force-abilities.

Hikari-No's midichlorian count proved to be unusually high for a newborn baby, and she was accepted into the Temple without question. The child was placed within the Temple Nursery where she was raised with the other abandoned children until such time as she was mature enough to join a clan of younglings at age three. Given her innate ability to manipulate the Force, Hikari-No was promoted within the clans several times during her formative years to ensure that she would remain stimulated by the activities of her classmates, though she spent most of her time within the Fenghuang Clan.

At age eight she was accepted as the Padawan learner of Jedi Master Mi-Rai Shinwa.

Padawan Years, 14-7 Years Ago

"I swear, on my honour as a Jedi, that I will always do my best to protect you, and the people of Domus Prime."
—Hikari-No Miko

During her time as a Padawan, Hikari-No spent a lot of time travelling around the Galaxy, meeting with new people, and experiencing different ways of living. 13 years ago she visited Domus Prime with her Master, who was the impartial observer sent by the Jedi Council to negotiate a truce during the Ki'irith Unhappiness. During this period Master Shinwa was able to prevent the Council of Advisors and the Royal Court of Domus Prime from going to war over seemingly minor matters of state and governance.

It was during this first trip to Domus Prime that Hikari-No Miko met Princess Catherine, Melvin Jester and the Countess Tamira of Chiara, all of whom would become her friends later in life. She met them again two years later when Hikari-No and Master Shinwa returned to participate in the anniversary celebrations on Domus Prime. It was during these celebrations that Hikari-No and Tamira first traded places, relying on the similarity in their appearances to trick the Court into believing that Hikari-No was actually their Countess.

During her second visit to Domus Prime, Hikari-No visited the Temple of Light within Ki'irith City and, under the guidance of the young shrine maiden Rei, was allowed to take part in a fire reading, a particular form of divination used by the priests and priestesses of the Temple. Within the flames Hikari-No witnessed a woman dressed in a Sailor fuku, who bowed to the Padawan as if she was royalty, and despite their best efforts the seers of the Temple could do little to interpret what she had seen.

Whilst on Coruscant, Hikari-No studied within a class of approximately thirty Padawans her own age and skill level, and they spent much of their time in politics and history classes, as well as in classes learning how to use the Force and how to fight, particularly with a lightsabre. Although Hikari-No's skills were strong, for a long time she had little control over her Force senses, and this came to a head 11 years ago when she realised that she could hear the thoughts of the other students in his class, and that not all their thoughts of her were favourable. One afternoon she met The Riddler within the Temple, and the Dark Jedi showed her both how to block out the thoughts of the other students and how to block her own thoughts from the view of others. At the end of this meeting Hikari-No displayed her first use of prophecy, as she swore to protect her new friend from Darth Blade.

Awakening as a Senshi, 7 Years Ago

"I am Sailor Coruscant, the champion of love and justice. You will not defeat me, Hematite."
—Sailor Coruscant

One night within the Jedi Temple, Hikari-No Miko dreamed of a voice speaking to her, wearing a multitude of faces and identifying herself as Palomene, the Guardian of Mau. Within the dream, Palomene gave the Jedi Padawan a locket and asked her to fight to save the Jedi Order, who were under attack in their sleep from an unseen enemy.

When she awoke, both the voice of Palomene and the locket were still with her, and Hikari-No was bullied into transforming into the pretty sailor-suited soldier of Coruscant. Sailor Coruscant then went forth and fought the youma of the Dark Kingdom in a series of battles across the planet as the enemy sought to find a way to drain the energy of the people in order to open an interdimensional gateway and fully invade the Galaxy.

After several battles, Sailor Coruscant was joined in her fight by Sailor Star, another Sailor Senshi, with the power to control both water and fire. It was revealed that Sailor Star was actually Hikari-No's friend, Jedi Padawan *Starinia Fallus, and together they formed a formidable team, working together to keep Coruscant safe. When the Dark Kingdom attempted to attack the Galactic Senate Sailor Coruscant discovered within subspace the Crystal Staff, a weapon of the Sapphire Millennium that had been lost for generations, and used it to hold off the leader of the Dark Kingdom's attack, General Hematite.

The Queen of the Dark Kingdom gradually became impatient with Hematite for allowing the Sailor Senshi to regularly thwart their plans, and in his desperation to please her, he demanded that the Sailor Senshi meet him at D-Point, in particular at an abandoned spaceport in the arctic regions of Coruscant known as a meeting place for space pirates and people smugglers. Though they knew the meeting to be a trap, the two Senshi went to D-Point under the guise of doing a delivery for the Jedi Council, and in their first minutes exploring the spaceport Sailor Star was tricked into approaching a group of youma masquerading as *Star's Jedi Master Kum-Kwat and was killed by the monsters.

Sailor Coruscant and Hematite fought, and when the General stole her locket away from her she lost her transformation, becoming Hikari-No Miko once more. It was at this moment that Hematite realised her identity, and she his, and the Jedi Padawan wept at the realisation that the young man she had held a crush on was actually her enemy. From out of her tears and the purity of her heart the Sapphire Crystal materialised and with it came another transformation, Hikari-No donning the gown and mantle of the long-missing Princess Amaterasu of the Sapphire Millennium who was destined to rule the Galaxy long ago.

Princess Amaterasu lifted the Sapphire Crystal, and used its power to banish the Dark Kingdom soldiers back into their dimension, sealing the gate behind them. Drawing further on the strength of the magic stone, and was able to ressurrect *Star as well, but the cost of using such high magic was Hikari-No's own life. As she died, her final wish was that her friends would be able to live in peace once more.

The Sapphire Crystal heard her wish and granted it, but Hikari-No was a person forever changed for her experiences. She had killed another Jedi Padawan, and this would weigh heavily on her heart for many years. With this guilt came anger at Palomene, who had manipulated the two young Senshi for her own ends, to bring the Royal House of Coruscant back into being. Hikari-No banished the Guardian from her mind and her life, swearing that she would forever renounce the role of Princess of Coruscant.

Though she kept the locket and the Sapphire Crystal with her at all times, it would be many years before Hikari-No Miko next called upon her powers as Sailor Coruscant.

Previous Incarnations

Although there have been no previous incarnations of the soldier, Sailor Coruscant, the woman who has become Queen of Domus Prime is herself the reincarnated soul of Princess Amaterasu of the Sapphire Millennium. Because of this connection to the former kingdom, and also that she is the legitimate heir to the throne, it has been suggested on a number of occasions that Sailor Coruscant should in fact reinstate the Coruscant Royal Family and take over her rightful place as Queen of all that is Star Wars.
