Yorick Jester was first Force-sensitive Jester and leader of the union. He wanted to be a Jedi, but loved to make people laugh, and knew the union would fail without his leadership. Disappearing for a year, he made an arrangement with the Jedi that they would not train his progeny.

Background
Family
Jester was brought up in a small family of two parents (Paul and Laura), one younger sister Samantha and one older brother (Collin). His brother died at an early age due to a tragic accident. His parents both died shortly after his brother passed away. His sister went on to marry and raise a family but her husband (Richard) died under mysterious circumstances before their daughter, Rhea, was born. Rhea is about a year and a half old right now.
Rhea has developed her Force abilities despite proper training. She learned to speak, read, and write very early-on in her life and has developed her vocabulary to a great extent and she has a great knowledge of many things. It was decided early on that neither Jester nor Samantha wanted to send Rhea to the Jedi Academy because neither one wanted her to leave. Ever since Richard's death, Rhea has been the only thing that reminds her of deceased husband.
Jester Tradition
The Jester family has always had the honor of carrying on the proud tradition of being the royal entertainers for the Royal Family of Domus Prime. It has been this way for many generations and many can not view Domus Prime without taking notice of the fine tradition set up by the Jester family. The Jester family was also responsible for setting up a council on Coruscant where all court entertainers could meet and share their ideas. The one trick that was passed on down through the generations of the Jester family was the ability to juggle lightsabers without killing one's self. Yorick Jester, who was a Force user that had decided to continue the life of a jester rather than pursue the path of the Jedi, first developed this trick many generations ago. Melvin Jester also has a pet rubber chicken named Harold that he has had since he was a small boy.
Melvin's past
A few years ago he was enlisted in the Royal Forces to help fight a galactic war. Although Jester had become an officer, he still had a specific duty that would normally be taken on by the regular enlisted soldiers, he had become a skilled electronics and mechanical engineer. He was resonsible for maintaing complicated machinery with many moving parts, and at times, he had to assemble new equipment from what was left over. He discovered and corrected design flaws and came up with new designs for battle droids that were never adopted by the military. After a while though, he left this hobby behind and swore to never make another weapon.
During his time in the military, he met and served with Grand Admiral Riddler before he was the Grand Admiral of Domus Prime. Riddler would turn out to be a great teacher and friend to Jester for the time that they would spend together. They fought side by side in many battles, but one unfortunate battle left them as the only sole survivors out of two huge opposing forces. Jester soon dropped out of the military, for personal reasons, and reinstituted himself as the court jester back on his home planet of Domus Prime. He loves his planet and people and would do anything for them.
Melvin's Present
He recently discovered his Jedi powers during a little incident with someone Queen Sailor Coruscant that occurred when he was twenty-two years of age, and he has since used these newly discovered abilities for the good of the people.
He is also a part time writer and chef.
